Why Bumbi charges once
Bumbi Plus is a one-time purchase. You pay once, it is yours for good, and nothing renews. This page explains what is free, what you pay for, and the one thing that does run on a subscription, so there is no surprise on a bank statement.
What stays free, forever
The reminder itself is the product, and it is not behind a paywall.
- 3 active reminders at a time
- All three intensity modes, including Alarm
- Recurring reminders, daily, weekly or on the days you pick
- Snooze, quiet hours and the delivery test
- Reminders that survive reboots, battery savers and Do Not Disturb
- No ads, no account, no cloud copy of your list
What Bumbi Plus adds
Plus removes the limits for people who live inside the app.
- Unlimited active reminders
- Custom snooze length
- Custom sounds per intensity
- Control over auto-escalate: turn it off, or cap how far an ignored reminder climbs
- Extra themes
The purchase lives in your Google Play account. New phone, same account: open Settings and tap Restore purchases. Nothing to migrate, nothing to sign up for.
Why not a subscription
A reminder runs on your phone. There is no server keeping it alive, so a monthly fee would pay for nothing you use. Charging every month for software that costs us nothing to run would be a rent, not a price.
Subscriptions also change how you feel about the app. You start watching the renewal date, wondering whether you cancelled in time, reading the bank statement twice. A reminder app should lower that kind of noise, not add to it.
The one subscription: Bumbi Assist
Bumbi Assist breaks a big task into small steps. Every request is sent to an AI model that charges us per use, so Assist is the only part of Bumbi that has a running cost. It is sold as a separate, optional subscription for that reason alone.
Plus never depends on Assist. You can own Plus and never subscribe, try three breakdowns for free before deciding (the subscription itself also starts with a 7-day trial you cancel from Google Play), or cancel Assist and keep everything else exactly as it was.
What Bumbi will never do
- Show ads, anywhere, and never inside a notification
- Start a trial that turns into a charge without you tapping Buy
- Put a countdown or a fake discount on the purchase screen
- Ask for an account or an email to use the app
- Sell your reminders, or use their text to train a model. Bumbi Assist sends only the one task you choose to break down, and does not store it
If something goes wrong
If Plus does not show up after a purchase or a new phone, open Settings and tap Restore purchases. If that fails, write to support@bumbi.app with the Google Play order number and we sort it out by hand.
