Birth Control Reminder That Refuses to Be Ignored

Never miss a pill again. Bumbi sends persistent birth control reminders that keep buzzing until you take it. Same time daily, every day, no slip-ups.

The problem

A combined oral contraceptive needs to be taken at roughly the same time every day to stay effective. The progestin-only pill is stricter, a three-hour window before efficacy drops. Both share the same enemy: a notification that fires once, gets dismissed without a glance, and disappears. You are mid-conversation, mid-commute, mid-anything, and the buzz is over before your brain registers what it was for. Hours later you wonder if you took today or if the memory is from yesterday. Plenty of cycle-tracking apps will log the dose once you tap it, but none of them keep nagging when you do not. The actual failure mode is forgetting in the moment, and a silent log entry cannot prevent that.

How Bumbi solves this

Set your pill time once in Bumbi. The reminder fires at that minute every day and stays on your screen until you confirm you took it. Dismiss it once and it comes back five minutes later. Dismiss again and again, that is the entire point. The reminder is engineered to outlast your distraction. Tap done after swallowing the pill and the next dose is already scheduled. No account, no cycle-tracking dashboard you have to maintain, no premium tier for the one feature that matters. Free forever, works offline, persistent until acted on. Pair it with whatever cycle-tracking app you already use; Bumbi handles the nagging while the other one handles the calendar.

Frequently asked questions

Will Bumbi remind me if I forget completely and the app is closed?

Yes. Bumbi runs in the background using Android foreground service. The reminder fires whether or not the app is open, and stays in your notification tray until you acknowledge it. Battery optimization rules can interfere, so the first-run setup walks you through whitelisting Bumbi on Xiaomi, Samsung and other restrictive OEMs.

Can I set a different time on weekends without breaking the daily streak?

Bumbi does not use streaks (intentionally, since they make people quit when they slip). You can edit the time per day or set two reminders with different schedules. The pill is what matters, not a streak counter.

What about the three-hour window for the mini pill?

Set the reminder for the start of your window. If you dismiss it, Bumbi keeps nudging every few minutes throughout your safe window. The persistent nag is exactly what the strict window demands.
